Welded Steel Pipe BS EN 10255:2004
Welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 is available in several finishes, these being red primer, galvanised and self-colour, in days gone by before red primer tube was widely used it was also available in black varnished and was known as BS1387. The majority of welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 is available in random lengths of 6.5 metres, a random length can be slightly longer or shorter than the average of 6.5 metres, and this is all down to the process of cutting the lengths at the steel mill of manufacture. Here at Besseges (Valves, Tubes & Fittings) Ltd we offer welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 from quality manufacturers, they include Yucel Boru and Borusan Mannesmann.
Both of these manufacturers ensure we offer our customer base consistently high-quality tubes for whatever medium or construction it is being used on. In the Blog you are currently reading we will cover the various uses and sizes available in welded steel pipe BS EN 10255 and ensure that whatever project you’re about to embark on the right pipework is installed.
Welded Steel Pipe BS EN 10255:2004 Red Medium
Welded Steel Pipe BS EN 10255:2004 in red medium plain end and screwed and socketed is available from stock here at Besseges (Valves, Tubes & Fittings) Ltd, this product is sometimes known as gas list but has many other uses such as fire sprinkler installations, diesel fuel lines and low-pressure fuel oils to name a few. As stated this welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 is available with plain or threaded ends and can be installed using malleable iron fittings to BS EN 10242:1995, we supply only taper threaded fittings manufactured by Jinan Meide another high-quality product we have been long associated with.
For welded systems, we can offer standard weight fittings to ASME B16.9 (there are some dimensional variations between these fittings and the pipe), medium and heavy fittings to BS EN 10253-2:2007 (previously BS1965:1963) and for non-pressure systems a range of DIN welding fittings suitable for handrail and guard rails. If you have a project that would suit any of these products please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Welded Steel Pipe BS EN 10255:2004 Red Heavy
Welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 in red heavy is also known as steam pipe as it has been used for many decades on the installation of low-pressure steam systems, this range is suitable in most sizes 15mm (1/2″) to 150mm (6″) on process steam systems running up to 10 bar and can be found in mills and factories all over the world. When installing process steam and condense return lines it is always essential to use compatible fittings to ensure your installation passes the test of time and best practice.
It is the opinion of our business that the most compatible range of threaded fittings for process steam and condense installations to be used with welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 heavy are steel fittings to BS EN 10241:2000 also known as wrought iron or heavy fittings. We do accept that malleable iron fittings to BS EN 10242:1995 are rated for the low-pressure steam but our experience suggests that steel fittings are the better choice in the long term, this excludes malleable iron navy unions (bronze seated) as these are used on steam trap installations more often than not on low-pressure process steam.
For more information on all things process steam please talk to our knowledgeable sales team as many would recognise us as the region’s leading process steam specialist supplier and TLV Distributor. There are many other uses for welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 heavy which include some we have discussed in the previous paragraph but on higher pressure ratings, for more information on pressure and temperature restrictions for all we have to offer in pipework, valves and fittings, please take the time to discuss your requirements with our sales team either by our contact form or by telephone, we are certain you will find the answers you’re looking for.
Welded Steel Pipe BS EN 10255:2004 Galvanised
Welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 galvanised is available in medium or heavy grades and is used for the installation of compressed air ring mains in both grades, it is also used on industrial water systems, low-pressure petroleum lines, handrails and structures using Fastclamp handrail fittings to again name a few. We offer the relevant fittings to suit your needs in galvanised malleable iron BS EN 10242:1995, galvanised steel (wrought iron) fittings BS EN 10241:2000 and of course Fastclamp fittings for all handrail and roof-guard requirements.
There are some installations where we would not recommend any of our galvanised products of course and they would be process steam and condense installations, diesel pipelines and potable water installations. For more information on the uses of welded steel pipe BS EN 10255:2004 please contact us to discuss your requirements, we are certain we can offer the right material for all your valve and pipeline requirements at competitive prices with the added assurance of quality guaranteed as standard.
