The PT1 PocketTrapman portable diagnostic tool for steam traps, valves and bearings is available here, this tool is ideal for small sites carrying out daily checks as well as random spot checks. The PT1 uses ultrasonic and thermal sensors to measure vibration and temperature in order to give a basic operation judgement (good, blocked, leaking etc).
Measurement takes as littles as 10 seconds, the band-pass filter eliminates ambient noise ensuring a precise ultrasonic measurement. Compact design, can be carried around in a pocket, includes removable earphones to assist operational judgement. Powered by 3 x AAA batteries, maximum surface temperature: 350°C.
