Self-Colour (Black) Steel Pipe BS EN 10255

A full range of BS EN 10255:2004 self-colour steel pipe or tube is available from stock, also known as black or unfinished pipe and previously known as BS 1387 steel tube. We offer self-colour steel tube to BS EN 10255 with plain ends in medium and heavy wall thickness, sizes available range from 1/2″ or 15mm nominal bore up to 6” or DN150.
All of this material has been manufactured in Europe to both the BS EN 10255:2004 and BS EN 10217:2002 standards by Yucel Bore or Borusan Mannesmann, it’s also fully traceable, can be supplied with test certification and complies with the Pressure Equipment Direct (PED) 2014/68/EU.
Self-colour, black or unfinished steel tube to EN 10255 (BS 1387) is suitable for many of the same installations and red-oxide primer painted tube so includes low-pressure process steam or oils, diesel fuel lines or fire protection. In addition to these, it’s plain or unfinished nature makes it ideal for those wishing to weld the material or maybe apply their own exterior coating to the tube.
