From that, we managed to put together a parts list of stainless steel socket weld steam ball valves, a TLV F46 stainless steel socket weld quick trap connector, and socket weld tee (3000lb) and schedule 40 stainless steel seamless tubes. These parts are welded together, and pressure tested by a quality-assured business; will produce good quality stainless steel quick trap systems.

We can now offer quick trap systems at prices that make sense and not a price that make your accountant have a meltdown. At the time of writing our latest product, is QuickTrap systems. Are available at £450 each complete with double block and bleed valves, quick trap connection and built-in strainer. Even when you add the steam trap, we can offer a thermodynamic version at around £600 complete; or even a free float line drain at £650. Quick Trap Systems Advantages.

The advantages of quick trap systems are clear, as there are no threaded joints the chances of leaks are greatly reduced. In the case of our standard unit, double block and bleed allow the trap to be changed without isolating the entire steam line. A built-in strainer ensures function is not impaired by foreign bodies in the steam system. The two-bolt quick action allows for easy steam trap replacement; additionally, TLV provides a wide range of quick traps including thermodynamic, free float and thermostatic versions.

For those requiring a threaded connection, we can provide replacement threaded ends for the inlet and outlet ball valves. This option does come at the same cost as a complete stainless steel steam ball valve but is not a great cost. Quick Trap Systems TLV Steam Trap Options

There are a number of options that can be used with the TLV P46 quick trap connection, which is an integral part of our quick trap systems. Selection of the type of trap really depends on the process in question and the versatile quick trap systems are in our experience used in line drain situations. The ideal steam trap in our experience for line drains is the TLV free float steam trap, and we offer two types of this product.

The TLV S3 free float line drain quick trap is available with three orifices and they are 5, 10 and 21 bar versions. The S3 has a maximum discharge capacity of 310kg/hr and although the steam trap has a maximum working pressure of 21 bar, our quick trap systems are rated at a maximum of 17 bar. For higher operating pressures we can offer a quick trap unit but this would be price on application.

The TLV S5 free float line drain quick trap has four orifice options which are 5, 10, 21 and 32 bar; with a maximum capacity of 32 bar. Pressure restriction on the Besseges (Valves, Tubes & Fittings) Ltd quick trap systems restrict our option for higher pressure systems but as previously stated we can offer a higher pressure unit on application.
