Installing Press Fittings and Pipework. Can It Be That Easy?
Looking at how the press fitting industry portrays installing press fittings you’d instantly believe it’s as simple as ABC, just push it together and place the jaws around the joint, connect an M-profile tool and press a switch, job done! The fact is it isn’t that simple as there is a list of procedures to follow when installing press fittings that are not made clear by every manufacturer and in addition, some manufacturers will withdraw their warranties if you mix fittings or pipe supplied by other manufacturers.
What we are saying is to ensure that when installing press fittings, your fitters are aware of the manufacturer’s recommended installation procedures and their sometimes unfortunate rules concerning other manufacturers. When your business is buying M-Press products you can be sure that we provide a transparent and concise installation guide which is included in one of our earlier M-Press press fitting blogs.
The biggest plus is we provide product warranties via PCC M-Press that are not affected by the use of other similar manufacturers’ products. In other words, if you extend an existing system that used Geberit, Yorkshire or Sanha products or you used mixed manufacturers material on an installation, the excellent product warranty from M-Press would still apply. The narrow view of other press fitting manufacturers towards their competitors is unfortunate and groundless, not all M-profile press fittings are the same as the leak paths for each range are different, as for the quality of manufacturer we would defy any business to cast aspersions on the product quality produced by PCC GmbH.
This business is a world leader in M-profile and V-Profile press fittings and tubes; we offer you the M-Press range of fittings and tubes in carbon steel, stainless steel and copper. For more information on this range including our installation guide please take the time to our other blogs on press fittings or contact our sales team.
