Genebre Art5025 actuated ball valve

We offer a wide range of actuated valves here at ValvesTubesFittings.com, much of what is available is manufactured by Genebre. This is especially true when we are providing pneumatic actuated valve solutions. The latest range of pneumatic actuators from Genebre have a built-in visual open and shut indicator; therefore, reducing the cost of actuation when this is specified. We can offer other forms of actuated valve solutions including electric actuation and electro-pneumatic control valves, globe valves, butterfly valves and more.

Valves available for actuation include ball valves in brass, carbon steel, stainless steel and plastics. Butterfly valves in the same range of materials, bellows sealed globe valves in carbon and stainless steel as well as piston and needle valves to suit every type of installation. Actuated Ball Valves

For your actuated valve solutions, we offer high-quality actuated ball valves in materials to suit your process. Although we are extensively a Genebre distributor, we can offer valves from many other manufacturers. But our fallback product is always our range of high-quality Genebre valves. Genebre ball valves for actuation are available in brass, carbon steel and stainless steel; and for this blog, we will look more closely at our very competitive range of stainless steel ball valves.

Genebre actuated stainless steel ball valves are available in two-piece and three-piece versions providing solutions for many different mediums. In our threaded version, the ball valve we actuate more often than not is the Genebre Art2025. This three-piece stainless steel BSP threaded ball valve is available as a standard version with 15% filled PTFE seats. The maximum working pressure on the standard valve is 63 bar with a maximum working temperature of 180°C at 10 bar. With replacement seats, the same valve is rated for higher temperatures and is the valve we normally offer for process steam installations.

Another popular stainless steel ball valve suitable for actuated valve solutions is the flanged two-piece version. The Genebre Art2528 from 15mm (1/2″) to 50mm (2″) is PN40 flanged and from 65mm (2 1/2″) to 200mm (8″) it’s PN16 flanged. Temperature ratings for the Genebre Art2528 vary across the size range, with valves from 1/2″ (15mm) to 4″ (100mm) rated at 180°C at 10 bar and the 6″ (150mm) and 8″ (200mm) valves rated at 135°C at the same pressure. Higher temperature replacement seats are available for these Genebre valves, contact our sales team for prices and more information.

Actuated Butterfly Valves

Our comprehensive range of butterfly valves from stock are in the main manufactured by Genebre, we can, however, offer alternative manufacturers products including Ebro, Keystone and Orbinox. The Genebre Art5025 actuated ball valve, three piece stainless steel valve with BSP threaded endsOur latest Genebre stock of actuated butterfly valves is now WRAS-approved in wafer pattern and lugged and tapped versions. This quality valve can be actuated to suit many applications for the water and food industries. Genebre butterfly valves are available in ductile iron GGG-40, cast iron GG-20, and 316 stainless steel.

The Genebre Art2104 stainless steel butterfly valve in our range of actuated valve solutions has PTFE seals and a 316 stainless steel disc. The Genebre 2101 butterfly valve has the same seats and disc with a ductile iron GGG-40 body, this offers a different price option when the conditions allow. What must be noted when looking at the PTFE-sealed version when actuating butterfly valves is the requirement for a larger actuator; allowing for more torque if the seats harden under working conditions.

Popular Actuated Butterfly Valves

The most popular valves in our actuated, manual or gear-operated versions of our Genebre butterfly valves are the Art2108 lugged and tapped in ductile iron GGG-40 and the Art2109 wafer pattern in cast iron GG-20. The Art2108 as previously stated has a ductile iron body GGG-40 with a 316 stainless steel disc, EPDM seats and an NBR steam seal.

The Art2109 wafer pattern has a cast iron body GG-20 with a stainless steel disc, EPDM seats and an NBR steam seal. Both these actuated valve solutions have a maximum working temperature of 120°C; talk to our sales team to see which of our butterfly valves is suitable for your application.

All the above-mentioned Genebre butterfly valves are available in lever, gear or actuated versions. Offering solutions to a wide range of applications across many industries. The ART 2103, 2108 and 2109 valves carry WRAS approval for applications across the water industry in the United Kingdom, additionally, these same products have similar approvals across the European Union.
